Department of Pharmacology 11th Post-graduate course Highlights the “Vulnerables”

The Department of Pharmacology of the UST Faculty of Medicine and Surgery will hold its 11th biennial postgraduate course on October 19, 2018 (Friday) at the CME Auditorium. This time an ingenious topic which highlights the vulnerable population will be tackled.

 Pharmacology department chair Dr Leoncia N. Olonan and Course director Dr Flordeluna Z. Mesina and Dr Minerva Calimag are excited and boast of the high yield program they prepared. The high-caliber roster of speakers and panelists are composed of Dr Jody Dalmacion and Dr Dennis Flores who will talk on Pharmacology in Pregnancy and Lactation and Pharmacology in Pediatric patients, respectively. Dr Jean Uy-Ho will discuss pharmacology in malnourished and obese patients. The afternoon session is equally engaging. Dr Jude Guiang, Dr Clifton Pe and Dr Romell Romano are tasked to discuss pharmacology in critical patient with multi-organ failure. And to end the day, the geriatric patient and polypharmacy will be discussed by Dr Mark Henry Joven, Dr Inocencio Alejandro and Dr Josephine Lumitao.
